Which means probably six weeks until one of the radio stations flips to Christmas music. Happy Friday. The season march on..today is the first day that our average high temp. goes down a notch. From July 15-24, the average high is 83, today it’s 82. We have already lost 37 minutes of daylight since the Summer Solstice back on June 20. The Bufkit gives South Bend 4.45″ of rain Sunday and Sunday Night and 0.02 for us. Remember the Bufkit gave us some outrageous snowfall predictions this past winter. Looks dry for today…slight chance shower/t-shower evening/early tonight…dry and warm Saturday…could be a period of rain south of GRR Sunday PM to Monday AM…pretty even temps. in the low-mid 80s. There was a barge collision and oil spill in New Orleans. Here’s tornado damage pictures from New Hampshire. A State of Emergency was declared in New Hampshire where nearly 100 homes were damaged.Permalink | Bookmark | Email |

WOW! I’m first here again. Its kind of fun to do that. I cannot believe Christmas is really this close. Didn’t summer just start?
I would like to enjoy the remaining nice weather of summer and hopefully we have nice weather this Fall!! I read and heard about that oil barge collision and the massive oil spill in the water.
What does next week look like for the forecast?

Merry Christmas…hohoho, that can only mean one thing these hot/humid days are on thier way put!
Im sure we will have plenty of warm fall weather to make up for our cooler summer (so far, warmer air coming-by next week late!)
I see they are prediciting 80* dewpoints in Iowa /Missouri today, theycan keep that stuff..

Those picture from above link, show a lot of damage/destruction, there are a couple of pic’s from the beach as the storm front is rolling in, people on the beach strolling along?
A lot of the damage looks like stright line winds damage, a couple pic’s show lowered cloud bases, be interesting to see what the NWS service calls..

Wonderful. Just when gas prices are easing a tiny little bit, they spill a bunch of it - I’m sure that will justify them shooting the price of gas through the roof by this afternoon.

Stopped in a dollar store two weeks ago and they were putting out the Christmas decorations. I was a bit shocked.

I was just listening to christmas music the other day actually - had the iPod on shuffle & I didn’t change it….. I can’t get through Oh Holy Night without getting goosebumps…. Not ready for the snow part just yet - but definitely ready for all the warm fuzzies of Christmas…..

yep its all down hill until next spring…78° here with cloudy skies but all in all it a nice late July day.
I had to put my beloved pet of 15 years to sleep today, it was a very hard thing to to but in my heart it was the best thing to do for him…He got sick last week and has not eaten sense last Thursday even with the antibiotic the vet gave him we could not get his fever down..I could not even force feed him so I feel it was time…SlimJim

Sorry again about your Dog Jim.. bless him, he is in a better place now. It’s one of the hardest choices a person can make, I think you did the right thing, your dog is no longer suffering =)
My best to you and yours

It’s all down hill to winter from here….YEAH!!
On a sadder note…Jim, my thoughts are with you. My parents had to put a couple of dogs down when I was a kid, but I’ve never had to do it myself. Our dogs are 6 and 7 now, and I dread that day.
Forgive me if you’ve already posted this, but what kind of dog did you have??

I so feel for you Jim–that is a day I, too, dread. Dogs really should live as long as (or longer than most) people. You honored your dog’s life though by making the difficult choice.

Im sorry to hear that Jim! My dog is 15 years old he is a Yorkshire terrier.
Im dreading that day of him dieing…He’s been with me since I was a baby (im 15)
Its the best thing to do tho to put them down, its much much better then having them suffer.
