Whipping Up A Frenzy

September 4th, 2008 at 12:20 am by Jack Doles under Sports

We saw some big upsets in week #1 of the season and week #2 promises to be just as interesting.  Can Zeeland East make it back to back wins to open the season?  Considering they won just once in the past three seasons, that would be quite a feat.

Can Holland open the season 2-0?  Since 1998, the Dutch have reached the 2-victory mark one time.

The Chix and Dutch are two of the teams we’ll be following on Friday’s Football Frenzy.  As of Wednesday night we’re planning on covering 21 games.   We’ll put the spotlight on Holland Christian vs. Thornapple-Kellogg; Lowell at Mona Shores; and of course Sparta vs.  Zeeland East.

Join Jason Terzis and me for live updates throughout the night.  We’ll have hi lites on both WXSP 10pm and 24 Hour News 8 at 11.  It’s football for the hardcore fan.

For the last two weeks, I’ve tuned into the Football Frenzy on Friday night to see how Unity has done. To my surprise, there was no coverage either week – even on the ticker on the bottom of the screen. I’d like to ask that you begin covering Unity as well. Thank you.
