I posted my pick too!!! I’m calling 6-10, but not copying Terzy! :)

Larry, I have not thought the Lions have had a chance since I was 6. Yes this includes the Barry Sanders era. I don’t think they were very good even then…they just had Barry. BUT..I watched a little of them this pre-season & saw some things I haven’t seen in a long time. Mainly tackeling (sp). I have never said this of the Lions but I think they could win the division. I’m predicting 10-6. I guess this puts a cup of kool-aid in my hand as well

I really do think that Jack Doles is right on the wins and losses.. I didn’t see much today as I watched it… Oh well, another crazy season….Hope they do better next game. It always seems like they can win in preseason and then they falter in the regular season. Kitna surely was upset today also.. Wow, GO LIONS

I’ve been watching the Lions faithfully for all my 35 years on this earth (forced as a child, because I couldn’t change the channel, and yes I’m a punk) and I’m still going to watch them after this dismal season. That said…I’m predicting 5-11. Gone are the days of the “Silver Streak” and Barry Sanders.

Kitna, though irritated with his team, should have looked at his own mistakes before unleashing the verbal abuse on the coaching staff after the first TD attempt in first half. I’m not asking for him to be a Manning, but common sense would tell you that if there’s (8) yards to the goal line and there’s no one in front of you, to run it in!!! Instead he yells at the staff….?

    Anyway…. GO LIONS!!!!

Listen, last year the Giants got rolled twice and then ended up in the Super Bowl. I am not saying Lions are SuperBowl bound but I do believe that the first game is hard to gameplan for. Your emotions are running high and then your down 21 points in the first quarter.
The Lions will bounce back this week. They are very tough at home. The defense will be motivated this week and probably have 4 sacks. In order for the Lions to perform though, they must have their stars play, like Leigh Bodden not Travis Fisher and Keith Bullocks not Gerald Alexander play. Cory Redding not Shaun Cody. If the Lions will not play the star players, especially on defense they will manage the same every week. My prediction stands at 10-6. Gotta love that Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid too. Go Lions!

  6. John Says:

    2-14

  7. Vin Says:

It’s never too early to start the talk…FIRE MILLEN!!!!!

(I think John’s got the right number)

The Kool-aid suddenly isn’t tasting so sweet anymore. Like Jeff, I saw solid and improved tackling in the pre-season… what the hell happened to that! There certainly hasn’t been ANY of that two weeks into the regular season.
I think “Dismal in Door” said it best… after week one, Dismal wrote that Jon Kitna should look at his own mistakes before unleashing his verbal abuse on the coaching staff… after week two, well, ’nuff said.
I was really hoping Jack and Lee were wrong about 5-11… but suddenly the Lions do look John’s 2-14 team, don’t they?
They MUST win this week, or not only is the season over, but it ’s gonna get REALLY ugly at Ford Field this season.
Bottom line… Vic’s right… it’s never too early, or too late for that matter…Fire Millen!
    Thanks for the comments.

Fire Millen and leave Kitna on the bench! We need to start over in this organization!
