Moon/Jupiter/Venus/Equinox

This is what the moon will look like tonight. You’ll see the moon in the southern sky this evening, with the bright planet Jupiter to the upper right of the moon. Jupiter is actually 40 times bigger than the moon. The moon looks bigger than Jupiter because it’s much closer to the Earth. The moon is about 251,600 miles from the Earth tonight. Jupiter is about 1750 times farther away (about 439 million miles away). Venus shines shortly after sunset in the western sky before setting. Much fainter Mercury is lower and to the left of Venus. It’ll be a good night for star-gazing…but chilly. The coldest spots will likely dip in the 30s tonight. The Autumn Equinox occurs on Sept. 22 at 11:44 AM.

BE IN LOW LYING AREAS…SUCH AS RIVER VALLEYS. THE THREAT FOR
FROST WILL BE GREATLY DIMINISHED NEAR LAKESHORE COMMUNITIES.
A FROST ADVISORY MEANS THAT FROST IS POSSIBLE. SENSITIVE OUTDOOR
PLANTS MAY BE KILLED IF LEFT UNCOVERED.

I’ve also noticed some trees are starting to change color. Perhaps this is because of a dry late summer or cool temps recently? I’m laughing now because NOAA is still predecting a warmer than normal winter and Farmers almanac is predecting a cold cold winter….someone’s loosing ground here.

I just want to ask a question about that new “collider thing” that was released today in space. Will this thing mess up the atmosphere in any way? Will it really create a big black hole like some people are saying? Will it mess up the weather patterns? I’m kind of scared actually about the whole thing. Thanks for any help.

There was no “Big Bang” – God created the heavens and the earth. He created the planets and space. He created the sun and the moon and he did all this in 6 days.
I truly fear this machine. I am sure that God is NOT pleased with it. Mankind does some really stupid things sometimes. I have read many articles on the internet on it, including MSN and CNN. I’m still fearful of it.

Peaceful, beautiful day today with lovely fat cottony clouds in an awesome blue sky over my way. I love this kind of weather, even though I dislike winter, cold, ice and blizzards.
I’m not sure why you fear it Marti, I used to live across from one on MSU’s campus… I’m still here =) This machine only smashes a couple atoms together nothing is going to happen it is minuscule in size compared to workings of the earth. If nuclear weapons that actually destroy mass by smashing an uncountable amount of atoms together didn’t blow up the earth, nor will smashing a couple together. any article that strike fear were meant to do so by fear mongers, just like eating meant is warming the earth, LOL! I’m not worried at all, I laughed when someone told me about it!
Not to take this down a religious road or anything, cause that to me is like politics, it’s debatable, but I’m just going to go out in my own thoughts here…and share.
We have proof that planets and stars can form from supernovas, that’s no surprise..
If Adam & Eve were first, and they reproduced and reproduced some more… Then what it was left up to their offspring and then what? Then we must all be related, and last I checked isn’t that a sin??
Aside from that, human skulls have been found from before the bible was suggested to be out there. Ok, now we must ponder… the pyramids and temples, if we didn’t have machinery that advanced back then, how did we build everything? Not only that how did we become rather stupid and without good resources and then have to redevelop technology all over again? It makes no sense to me…
I think personally, that we are part of another race in space somewhere, and we were put here to colonize this planet. If you think about it, we can’t be alone right? That wouldn’t make sense… I think we probably had assistance from somewhere else.. out in space, just a thought here.. someone far more advanced than us. Not little green or gray aliens that people usually think of, I mean people from other planets just like us. It’s possible.
Then there is the whole question of, if God made everything, then who made God? People discard that question immediately by what they have been taught… I’m not trying to force anything on anyone here… I am just stating my thoughts and opinions. So please do not attack me, and not I am not Atheist.. I am no religion. Just the same with politics, I am no party…. I am me, with my own thoughts, no labels, just me.
In defense of the Bible… It has been interpreted so many times by so many people, it’s not worth it to me personally to follow one or the other, someone can tell me the version they read is best, and someone else can turn around and say theirs is… So yeah..
If someone could get their hands on the real Bible (which is next to impossible, there would have to be older evidence than what we have now to prove anything) then I would be interested at least in doing some more investigating.. I still think it was humans who helped kill the dinosaurs. We still have places on this earth unexplored, we don’t know what all is out there… It will take years…
I just like to say “Hey when I die I’ll find out” and that’s the way I live. Until then I just try to be me.. Changing for no one.. just plain ol me.
