I remember this day as well. I was at Lake Michigan also – in Escanaba! It was warm – I basked in the sun on the beach with NO tourists but me! Black flies were still biting…

Jim, we have some nice warm weather on the way!! Hang in there buddy!
I still have a pile of wood in the driveway to split, I would rather do that on a cool day…split wood the last two weekends! Im taking a break this weekend…..thinking were gonna take a ride up to mackinaw area…

its too bad we can not see Bolide tonight that would be some thing to see..also its too bad we can not have the nice warm weather we had last year…I am not ready for fall and less ready for winter…..talking about winter accuweather’s Henry Margusity has his winter guess out and he thinks we are going to have a cold and snowy winter..lets hope he is wrong LOL SlimJim

Here is a map showing ‘normal’ snowfall for lower Michigan. It is easy to see the effects of the big lakes on the snow amounts. What has me alittle puzzled is the 20″ increase over in my neck of the woods of eastern Livingston and nw Oakland Counties. Is that because of the higher elevations in that particular area or what? Bill, what’s your take?
