Hey can anyone tell me when kent and other inland counties will get snow, ether from snow storms or lake affect? I need to know, I cant stand having no snow when the lake shore has almost 2 feet.
……watching the news at 5 and Kyle was in downtown Fennville. Tell him it’s M-89 not 87 LOL! too funny
We are getting hammered again in this area.
Sarah: Yeah, so much for me retiring in 6 yrs. I know it will come back, but I think it’s going to take a long, long time.
Radar says it should be coming down hard here, but it is not just spittin snow. We have had a total of about 1 1/2″ today, maybe more tonight I hope.
Very Nice BEN!! New Weather Chat added to my website.. TALK LIVE to give weather reports and snow amounts LIVE http://www.lowellweather.moonfruit.com
Brennan, Ben, nice sites!
Wow, that snow falling in Fenville, where Kyle Underwood was broadcasting from, was really coming down!
I’ll be so glad when the inland areas will finally get their turn.
Just came in from outside, took the trash out, and there is a thin coat of freezing rain on the vehicles, and on the trash can? Other places as well.
Just Measured 5″ of fresh snow in the driveway by the lake in holland.
Charles, I’m guessing that must be snow that fell, melted, and then refroze. Too cold aloft for freezing rain.
All of this freezing without any snow to play in is a bummer.
people say if u sleep with a spoon under ur pillow & flush icecubes down the toliet,& sleep with ur p&j inside out there will be a snowday the next day!?
Must be Micheal. It is kind of annoying me now too that it’s cold without snow, but also I don’t mind not having to change footwear to boots yet LOL
Barb- I feel badly for those who are very close to retirement like yourself.
Down to 22° here with clear skies had a trace of snow earlier. I do not mind not have any snow. That way it will warm up faster and I still can bundle up and go for a walk out side.
SlimJim
-4*F at Grayling at 4am. How’s that for cold for this time of year? Brrrrrrrrr
7″ So far up here in Montague!
A cold 17° here. Just a trace of snow yesterday. I am ready for the next warm up!
SlimJim
Around 6″ in holland.
High and dry in Kalamazoo. But brrrrrrr – cold.
19˚ here at 7:45.
I wish Hudsonville could get something…. Maybe we’ll have a better chance on November 25th.

20* here, still no real snow, since last Friday, total here is lees than 1″
The NAO index is showing a consistent drop below zero line around 29th of Nov and Dec1st, than after Dec 1st, you can see the models have wide range..
so Nov 29 to Dec 1st our first “real” snow?

Im not overlooking the 25th,it’s beginning to look more rain to mix vs all snow, but Im hoping..all snow!
Just took a quick measurement of the snow here in Hartford, we have about 1′ of snow on the ground, fluffy stuff, should settle down to provide a nice base.
Big shift in the wind to the NW in the last hour. Bands are working more inland it looks like.
anyone have an idea on the weather this weekend? Going to Battle Creek again and just curious what the weather will be for the drive down.

figures this shows a big storm for the east…FIGURES but of course this is likely to change
Not much snow other than a slight dusting here in Gaines Township… I’m jealous of all of you guys with 6″ or more.
I bet Cannonsburg is having a blast making snow this week with the cold temperatures.
It’s not doing anything here at home but at work it was snowing like crazy when I left!
I did see Cannonsburg blowing snow like crazy on Tuesday, I’m sure they’re still at it. Looks to me like another week without any significant snow next week, but the first week of December is looking consistently cold and stormy on the most model runs.
In announcing the 2008-2009 U.S. Winter Outlook for meteorological winter from December through February, forecasters at the NOAA Climate Prediction Center are calling for warmer-than-normal temperatures for much of the central part of the nation, and a continuation of drier-than-normal conditions across the Southeast.

Mike (Working on my new Storm Chasing Weather site, click my name to see it.
Anyone here?
Gee according to NOAA we can toss the heavy winter coat and bring out the sun screen. I bet that just brings tears to the eyes of all of the cold and snow lovers out there. Of course NOAA seams to have a warm bias for some reason.
25° had some moderate snow here for a few minutes earlier, have a trace on the ground and cars ect.
SlimJim
Hey.
It’s 10° F and falling.
Sun Screen? Good Grief, SlimJim! Let’s hope NOAA is wrong! Hi, Sarah.
Wow. Where are you located, Sarah?
SD. There’s a chance of snow tonite.
SD??? You quite a ways away.
It would be nice to see more severe weather this winter,
the 23 counties in the National Weather Service
Grand Rapids County Warning Area for Dec-Feb 1950-2008,
we had only 1 tornado and that happen in January which
was more or less a gustnado.
I am not a snow lover, but a severe weather lover.
Michigan is my home state, the temptation of moving
back to the plains, is a possibility.
