Winter Weather Advisory ends
<–snow late Monday AM in Wyoming from Heidi Kortman, click to enlarge. I had to run some errandsMonday AM. I drove around the streets on the NE side of GRR, and the roads were VERY slippery at the noon hour. Cars were having a hard time getting up hills on Plainfield and on Leonard, NE. We have a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 AM north of a line from Flint to Manistee. The snow has tapered off to flurries and drizzle in GRR. Temperatures are right around freezing and main roads are mostly just wet. Side streets may have icy spots, esp. north and northeast of GRR. The heavy, wet snow is pretty, clinging to the trees. We’ll see snow showers tomorrow. They’ve been harvesting the corn in the field across from my house and the geese have moved in to glean what’s left. They were making quite a racket this PM.
snow has completely stopped here im recording about 3″ here in Jenison as of 12:10pm Bill
Looks like we get a good solid burst in about a hour and it will be over.!!!
lite snow now maybe a 1/2″ to 3/4″ now
That track loks like yesterdays track up over BC/Lansing….
so the big snows are much further north!
1 to 1.5 on the ground currently, and moderate snow falling
Looks like snow over northcentral and central lake Michigan is starting to rotate down now and should help maintain the snow from M57 or M46 and points north of that line through this evening or at least late this afternoon
I live in NW Grand Rapids, and work in Howard City. How is the commute home tonight going to be, and what about the drive back in tomorrow AM? Speaking of that, what is the possibility of a snow day tomorrow? I’m not that concerned for the snow day part, just wondering if it is possible that the roads might be that bad.
Very light snow, about 1.5 here barely covered the grass and melting quick temp 36*
It looks like we got 3-4 inches here and looks like it is starting to wrap around alittle so will see how much more snow we get, hoping for more.
Belmont my bad.
My youngest was so excited to hear we where getting snow today. She of course is ready for the sledding season to begin!

What have we here?! Don’t think this is lake effect… The storm has neither stalled or retrograded… but looks to be developing out to the west as it strengthens and wraps moisture back around… So maybe we will see a few more snow showers before it’s all said and done!
35 and the eves are dripping here at the lakeshore. Originally got about 2 inches of heavy wet snow this morning but it has settled and melted a lot.
Its 3:00p.m., its foggy due to the melting snow and we have a mix of rain and snow right now. Lovely weather.
What a difference the lake makes….. Chicago has a few nice pretty flakes coming down last I was outside – nothing like it shoulds like GR has going on….. Sun is shining and it’s a fairly plesant day….
Hi, Julie. Rain is melting all snow here.
Better change Berrien Springs to Holland. I just got back here.
i was on my way to gr this morning and we saw a plow truck and some1 in front of us doing 35mph..my first though was great plow truck with lit snow on the ground waisting time when we really need them in the winter then the person that is driving 35 now thats a accident waiting to happen
^ My first thought was “what?” Then I thought that above could be the mother of all run-on sentences! Nice!
Our inch on snow has pretty much melted, I did have to shovel at lunch though.
We have about 1-2″ here in Gaines Township. I’m interested in the news about very cold weather. How will that affect the snowfall this December?
Had a total of 2.3″ of snow here, ground is still white with about two inches still on the ground. The roads were real slippery just before 11AM now just wet for the most part. Its 33° here now.
Still looks like some real cold coming in December. Where is global warming when you need it. Oh well maybe January will be warmer then average then.

2.5 to 3″ here. Mrs G and junior G made a nice snowman and a whopper of a snowball with it.
Looking forward to Bill’s post about the upcoming cold. GFS is still consistently bringing it.
We had about 1.6″ for today by 4pm
ZStarted snowing around 6pm and steadily so..
3.0 inches of snow with a current depth of 2.5
1:00am Drizzle and Lt Snow and 32 degrees, Barometer 29.66, WNW-14 G20
