Winter Weather Advisory

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the rest of the afternoon, since the precipitation that we started to track early this morning has now changed over to all snow. We’ve already had a snow report of almost 2″ in Grand Haven (through 11 a.m.), with 1.5″ falling in just one hour.
Roads will be very slippery and snow-covered for the rest of the afternoon. With temperatures dropping this evening and tonight, conditions could become quite icy for the evening and overnight commute.
A few snow showers may linger for Tuesday, too.

It’s very pretty all over the trees and the grass, and it’s coming down in huge flakes. I’m tired of it already though, LOL!!!

I have to agree with Marti B. I was tired of winter before it started.
Come on guys, Michigan winters are great. Its the grey months in between that are no fun. I say bring on the snow!!!
This snow is great. Can’t wait to plow huge piles of it. Now the deer will pattern better. Still looking for Mr. Big.
At least I won’t have to mow the yard till spring. Plow the driveway in 10 minutes but takes 2 hours to mow the yard. Yapie

I love snow; my husband calls it white poison. I love being snowed-in. There is nothing like not being able to see across the street because its snowing so hard. Its God making everything look like a fairy land. Bring it on.
Love all the pictures and stories and I say LET IT SNOW. In fact I hope there is more snow this winter than any year before. Happily watching from Crystal River Florida.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! It is beautiful! Ionia has about 3-4 inces of snow. I’m hoping for a snowday tomorrow!

On Dec.6 you wrote a word in your forecast that was a new one on me! “Progged???”
“A clipper, generally regarded as a weaker, fairly dry low pressure system is progged to storm across West Michigan Saturday.” Was that supposed to be a different word or something? I can’t figure it out.
