For much of Lower Michigan this is the whitest Christmas since the year 2000 and for some of West Michigan it’s the whitest Christmas since 1951. We have 13″ in Grand Rapids, 11″ Hastings and 16″ in Greenville, Holland and 17″ in Muskegon. The most I could find was 30″ on the ground at Wellston in Manistee Co. This is the first time since 1971 that Canada will have a 100% White Christmas and we have 53% of the Lower 48 states covered with at least an inch of snow on the ground, including Seattle, and Kansas City. Europe is heading toward a very cold end of December and start of January and Siberia continues to shiver with temperatures as cold as -70F. Feel free to comment on the snow/cold, leave a greeting, or just let us know what makes this Christmas special for you. Merry White Christmas to all! Let’s hope the rest of the winter is not as wild as it has been. I love the snow at all (especially when it gets me a snow day!:-), but I hate having to shovel the walk and driveway 2 to 3 times a day!!

Merry Christmas and good morning.Woke up 1 hour ago to see Santa left me a stocking full of gifts/goodies. I missed the wind last nite while sleeping i guess. Snowing some now and 21°. It will be a great day full of family and food. Plus a trashed living room.LOL. Some of the kids will be up soon and the others will be over mid moring.It does’nt get any better than that. Have a wonderful day. Now back to the classic movie, A Christmas Story.

It’s snowing here this am, coated everything , including the icy patches underfoot, use caution today, we had our snow cover knocked down to 9.5 inches yesterday from the rain and warm temps.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAY’S, to everyone. It’s been a interesting season so far. I give up trying to keep up with all the storms, watches and warnings. We had our christmas last night. Just put the turkey in the oven. Sit back have a cup of coffee and relax.
Good Morning Everyone & “Merry Christmas”
My family get together is Saturday. I have a lot to do today! Spent so much time moving snow this week! Yesterday morning after shoveling half the drive my son-in-law came over and did the rest with a plow, and pushed it back more. Not much room to put it when you live in a mobile park! Later I scraped off what was left on the drive and finally got the rest of the snow off my deck!
Last night was invited over neighbors for Christmas cheer drink. Just moved here in August and I feel so blessed to have great neighbors all around me! They’re fun and caring people. It was nice as I was feeling a little down about being alone.
Boy, those winds were something last night! Only got dusting of snow here over night

Merry Christmas EVERYBODY! We were out of town until late yesterday. I came back and cannot get into my driveway. There is about a 3 foot wall down by the road where the plow came through. We tried to remove the snow but it weighed a ton. I said I’ll wait UNTIL later to remove the rest, bad idea everything is FROZEN!
What does our weather look like like following the warm up and storms on Friday and Saturday?

Merry Christmas everyone. Stepped outside with the dog at 6:30am this morning and proceeded to fall down on a patch of ice. I’m not sure what hurts worse, the fall or the aches and pains from shoveling for the last week.
We get together with relatives at Port Sheldon this evening and my brother and his family will be driving in from Madison, WI on Saturday for a few day visit. I hope the heavy rainfall prdicted for Saturday and the potential flooding I see for Saturday isn’t an issue.
Today I rest and celebrate Christmas and tomorrow I start raking the roof of the house and garage.

A Cloudy 25° here had a light dusting of snow here last night just enought to put a coat on the ice and cars here. Juat on clue with Christmas here and a real good covering of snow on the ground we await a real good warm up and a good thaw.

Merry Christmas to all! The plow cleared the slush on my parent’s cul-de-sac just before it froze yesterday; the family gathering went well. I saw THE SUN for a minute about an hour ago; possibly experiencing the cloudiest December ever causes similar mixed emotions as the Lions going 0-16!
We had a nice dinner. Saturday we have christmas with just the grandkids. It’s a fun time, we get pizza, etc. My wife said I have 6 more christmas gifts to open, for the family on Sat. I think my wife got a Wii game(I guess that’s how you spell it), to have at our house, so we can play the game, and when the grandkids come over. It’s a fun to play. Let’s hope the weather isn’t too bad on Sat. I got to drive out to Yankee Springs to get 2 of the grandkids. Their house is on a dirt road. The warm-up and rain, will cause some real problems.

Does anyone know what that really bright light is in the sky? I think it’s SW. I thought it was a plane, that’s how bright it is, but it wasn’t moving so I got out my new powerful binoculars that I got for Christmas, and it is perfectly round. I think it must be a planet, but which one? Maybe it’s the Christmas star?
