Review: WALL-E is the best animated movie of 2008

Yeah, yeah, yeah… so its been out for more than 6 months, and in those 6-plus months I’ve heard how great WALL-E is… and now that I’ve finally seen it, I agree, it is the best animated movie of 2008, maybe the best in years.

"WALL-E" poster courtesy Disney Who better than Ben Burtt, the guy who created the sounds for R2-D2 to bring the most memorable robot to life since the droids in Star Wars.  All the humanity, all the character development, all the depth from a character with very limited lines.

WALL-E is fun and engaging and will have you talking like WALL-E for the rest of the day.  The storyline is solid with laughs for both kids and adults, adventure, and even a little romance… audiences of all ages will like this movie.   The visuals were amazing… then your remember this is an animated movie.

THE BOTTOM LINE: This is one of the best animated movies in years, and perhaps one of the best movies of the year… if you were like me and haven’t seen it yet, you should… I give it 9.0 out of 10.

it was a GREAT film and i thought it deserved more accolades than recieved — and the “presto & alec” short at the beginning was FAN-FREAKIN’-TASTIC!!

  4. Adam says:

I was completely bored with WALL-E and dozed off half way through it. My Wife and Kids thought it was so so at best. I think CARS is the best Pixar film to date and I think I have to give the nod to THE LION KING for the best animated feature ever. I will agree that the animation is superb in WALL-E however for sheer entertainment and fun CARS hits a home run. I forget I’m watching “talking cars” when I watch the film and the Blu-Ray disc is absolutely stunning.
