I kept thinking that the guy who played the Comedian was Javier Bardem (I found out later that it’s actually Jeffrey Dean Morgan), but the two actors definitely look alike

Most of the following is taken from a review I posted on my own multiply site.

I have waited 0ver 20 years for this film. I read the book in the mid 80’s and thought it wonderfully written. This was no “funny book”…no “comic book”…This was a full blooded novel that any intelligent adult would enjoy. The film was a close recreation of the book with minor…and I think sensible…changes to the storyline that enhanced the story. The film is over 2 hours and 35 minutes long but it was beautifully presented and played well…so the length was no problem for me.

Good movie but my goodness was it long… Hopefully none of the comic fanatics decide to bring their kids, as this movie truely earns its R rating.
