Satellite picture

This is the Lake Michigan satellite picture from midday Monday. You can easily see the snow on the ground in northeast Illinois, eastern Wisconsin and north of Muskegon-Big Rapids.  Pick out Silver Lake in Oceana Co. and Hamlin Lake near Ludington.  There’s still a lot of ice in Green Bay and on Lake Winnebago.   Cadillac and northern Osceola Co. had about 6″ of snow…3″ fell at Montague. Snowcover does keep the air colder. The high temperature Monday at Ludington was only 34.  Milwaukee with a snow cover had a high of 36, Madison-without snow-reached 46.  Up to 8″ of new snow fell in Racine Co., WI with 5″ in Milwaukee.

Woohoo…#1 tonight. So…Bill, does it look like we are finally heading into Spring? March came in like a lion, but is definately doesn’t look like it is leaving like a lamb.

  2. It was a beautiful day today, I smoked steaks, and hamburgers, and had a bon fire! Perfect!

On a somewhat related note.. my camera is slowly dying.. have to beat it on my leg for it to work right LOL Good news is, I only need to save about $150 more before I can get a new improved one. I’ll let y’all know, until then, please enjoy a nice spring photo I took today (click my name!)

Your camera might have corroded battery connectors or weakened battery springs. Take out the batteries and clean off any corrosion on the connectors found with a small flat blade screwdriver or sand paper. Replace any corroded or leaky batteries.

If springs don’t have much push to them any more, try to lengthen each spring by pulling on it with needle nose pliers so they stick out more by about 1/32 or 1/16 of an inch. Careful you don’t pull off or break the spring!

      Good luck.

…or maybe you want a good excuse to buy a new camera!

  3. Oh Mike you just BARELY beat me XD

It will be nice someday soon to move south away from the U.P. and it’s one season that we get which is Winter lol. Wisconsin and Illinois at least get faboulous hot summers, springs and falls as well as downstate. The U.P. can get snow anytime of the year.

this week end I didn’t see any ice fisherman on any of the frozen lakes… looks like its pretty punky ice…along Lake Superior you could still snowmobile if you wanted too.
