Longshot Lions
Looks like the oddsmakers in Vegas are as fond of the Lions draft picks as I am. betus.com lists the Lions as the biggest longshot in the NFL to win the Super Bowl in 2010.
How’s 200 to 1 odds sound?
Sounds about right to me.
Let’s see… they pick a QB, TE and a Safety with their first three picks.
I recall most of the draft experts saying this was a weak class for QB’s and Safeties. I recall most of the draft experts saying this was a deep draft for Offensive Lineman and Linebackers.
I’d like to see the odds for the Lions going 0-16 again, because I’m pretty sure, after this draft, they’d be lower than 200 to 1. They’d probably be closer to the 100 to 1 odds they’ve posted for the Lions to win the NFC.
Does anyone with an IQ proof read your work?
PATHETIC! The LIONS draft was pathetic! They could’ve taken some of that huge money they signed Stafford for and addressed some needs. How about the Defense?
How about the Offensive Line? To me that signing of Stafford and the money he’ll receive says he’ll start right away. Will that happen?
The LIONS have HUGE ISSUES! Mayhem and Lewand have NO IDEA what they are doing!
Let the coach have some say and listen to him.
Hello?
considering the draft picks i would longshot try no shot
the lions should disband and try to start under a new look , new name , new everything
Don’t know about what the deal is but something is strange to have clear issues areas and not really draft any starters for them….maybe they have a linebacker in their back pocket to sign if available….. I do like the tight end….we haven’t had a threat at end for a long time, but we may have been able to get him with the next pick….one thing I think is strange is how some experts are giving the Lions an A on this draft, I guess because of value…..but in some of the past, we have had good drafts and we never could get a B+. The quarterback pick baffled me…..it isn’t like we aren’t going to get next years #1….Bradford is a better quareterback, it looked like he duck this draft to duck the Lions.
I know it is hard not to have sour Grapes after last year But people need to realize that the Draft is not the only thig the coaches are looking at for changing the team. There have been many moves on Defence to help up the middle they added Julian Peterson @ LB and there is a good chance Larry Foote could Sign and wants to play for Detroit. They added Chuck Darby and Grady Jackson at DT a weak spot last year. Added possibly on many peoples list the top and hardest hitting Safety in the Draft. Also dumped some lazy under achieving CB and added experance at that possion. These are all moves to stop the run up the middle which they were dead last in foot ball last year. They have also added Depth on offence by getting ride of players at many possions that set out most of the year on DL last year and replaced with experanced players at OT,G,TE,WR,RB,biggest question will be can any of the Quarterbacks performand they might is the new line can protect them. If you look at the whole of the free agents and the Draft they filled big holes in Many areas. This does not mean they will be 16-0 but should give them a better chance of winning
