I am interested in how to access the pollen counts as I am very allergic to the oak trees. Now that the leaves are pretty much out, how do the pollen counts look and where can I find them? Thanks.

    1. Ken says:

Thanks a lot for the pollen info Mike. Ken.

      1. Sarah (in Martin) says:

Mike got to it before me, but those are two that I use. I have horrible allergies. Oak trees, maple, grasses, weeds, flowers, if it grows, it makes me miserable. Bah! I don’t like taking my meds daily, but this year has been so bad I have had to!

  4. james in Hastings says:

What is wrong with our weather pattern this year? It’ June and we stilla re not getting 80 degree days, and I have nothing to say for the lack of severe weather/thunderstorms we have not had. WHat is wrong? I am starting to think there is something very wrong!

    1. Sarah (in Martin) says:

It is getting a bit boring, no?

    2. Here is what is wrong – its a weak El Nino: Bill Steffen quote May 28th: “We have had fewer severe t-storms and tornadoes this year than last year. This has been the case nationally and in Michigan and that trend will likely continue as we transition to a weak El Nino. It’s too early to say for sure where we will be this winter, but I’ve been warning you that weak El Ninos can bring in frost and snow early (1951) and often to Michigan in the fall and also result in a stretch of pretty cold weather through mid-winter (1976-77).”

  5. Yeah its pretty boring. Not to mention no higher than 72 degrees on the ten day… thats kinda crazy for this time of the year.

  6. Steve says:

Again, I love the cooler than average temperatures and mild weather patterns we’ve been in this Spring. Let’s keep it going, Bill!

  7. Cort S. (Holland) says:

I want this Rex Block to erode a.s.a.p. so we can get some SWLY flow from the southern branch. It’s gonna be another long week…

  8. Judy I says:

Cooler weather is great for sleeping at night, during the day the little milder temps have made the plants larger and last longer. I’ve always thought that 70’s during the day and 50’s at night was perfect.

    1. Pauline (Leonard and Wilson) says:

I totally agree with you. When it is too hot, it is miserable to be outside. Give me 70’s or low 80’s with a nice breeze and sunshine and it would be perfect!

    2. Bill Olson says:

We would LOVE 70’s during the day and 50’s at night here in TC. However we are stuck in the 50’s during the day and 30’s at night. This pattern stinks.

  9. Almost .5″ of rain at our house so far this morning. Nice cool breeze, rain and gentle thunder early this morning … perfect for sleeping!

  10. Shelli says:

Am I the only one watching this little cell over lake michigan? lol. I am begging for any storm at this point..it even has a 1″ hail marker..mini chase? LOL

  11. some impressive rain, thunder and wind at our house right now. Bigger storms south of us down by Fort Wayne.
