Here was Bill’s Winter Prediction for 08-09 – I think it was pretty spot-on myself: “I’ve already issued my winter forecast. I’m calling for a cold December with early and often northwest-flow lake-effect snow events. I’ve seen a pattern similar to recent years 1985, 1989, 1995 and 2000. In ‘85 and ‘89, we had very cold air over us in mid-December, and I think that’ll be the case again next month.”

Whoops put this in the wrong spot the first time.
Yep, soon our two to three months of warm weather will be gone and it will be back to another 7 to 9 months of clouds and damp and cold. So ever one enjoy the few nice warm dayd we get this summer.
57° and partly cloudy here. and had 0.09″ of rain1

i agree, this is why i don’t believe this early, cold winter crap. no way they could know that this far away. i see an average warm summer coming this year. i do admit wood tv 8 is wrong alot more than other stations.

It never ceases to amaze me how the weather report can start out in the morning saying one thing, and end up being debunked by a ugly set of facts come mid afternoon. But truthfully that’s not the real amazing part though. What’s really astounding to me is how the evening weather guys make the day’s forecast sound like that’s what they said all along. And, surprise of all surprises, one group of weather people seams to get their little bull eye arrow to hit either “on” or pretty close to the center during most these “Boy did I ever miss the mark today” days.
Breathes new life into the old saying “Sure wish I could be as wrong as many times as they are and still keep my job”
Come on guys let’s show a little integrity. Own up a little. If you’re wrong admit it; it would be a breath of fresh air.

Alliah, I don’t think anything of Global warming, look at the Bill’s post, “In the last 15 days, we have only had one day that was warmer than average and the month of June is now 3.7 deg. cooler than average in G.R. and 8.4 deg. cooler than average in Ludington.” I am saying all of those losers pushing for the environment and tiny fuel efficient cars and “green” techniques have their head so far up their bung hole that if they keep it up we’ll all freeze to death, and if we don’t freeze we’ll certainly starve because the country will be too cold to grow anywhere near enough to feed us all with a 1 week growing season.
