Can’t decide what’s for dinner tonight?
Why not try a little taste of everything? Nearly 20 area restaurants will be featured starting today in the 2009 Taste of Grand Rapids. It kicks off at 3pm Friday, July 24th at John Ball Park on Grand Rapids southwest side. There’s no charge to get in, but tastes and samples will be for sale of many different types of foods available locally. Check out the Cajun, Ethiopian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, American, and Barbecue cuisine each establishment is famous for. The weekend also includes live entertainment by more than a dozen bands and the State of Michigan Barbecue Championship. Up to 40 teams from half a dozen states are expected to compete in this KCBS sanctioned contest to determine who will be Michigan’s BBQ champ. Experience the “Taste of Grand Rapids” 3pm to10pm Friday, July 24th and11am to10 pm Saturday, July 25th and let us know what samples you liked best!
Oh how I wish we were staying in town this weekend! This sounds sooo good!
What a great way to try something you’ve never had before. But oh, the heartburn!
Millions of people are starving to death everyday, and we are worrying about whats for dinner. Try going without a meal, for once.
