All-Time Record High
Seattle set an all-time record high temperature on Wednesday at 103. That broke the old record of 100 set back in 1994. Temperature records in Seattle go back to 1891. Other record temps. Wednesday in NW Washington included 105 at Sand Point, 104 in Olympia and an all-time record 96 in Bellingham. Many homes and businesses don’t have air conditioning, which has made things tough on residents. Temperatures will be hot today and a little cooler tomorrow.
WOW! It is an improvement from the 50’s and rain maybe? We should take a poll over there =)
Check out Oregon. Bleh.
62 and rain in Denver!
Bill- Are you going to get a post going about the Tornado Warning in IL?
More proof of Global Warming!
Off subject but of great interest.
I wonder how many record cold July records that have been broken this year! I know here in GR we will set a new record cold July and a new record for the lowest highest temp for July and we will not be the only one as others have fowled.
… Record coolest July in Madison WI…
The average temperature for the month of July in Madison was 65.7
degrees. This breaks the old record for the coolest July. The
previous record was 66.7 degrees in July 1891.
In addition… the highest temperature recorded in July this year was
just 82 degrees. This is also a record for the coolest monthly high
temperature for July. The previous record was 84 degrees in July
1869
A July for the record books.

Good afternoon Bill. I am enjoying the bit of rain we are getting today. I have watched TV 8 for as long as I can remember. You keep telling us of the High temps. for this day or that. When I was a kid I recall we had temps of 100+. I even recall one day it hit 112. I only remember that cuz I had to go and pick cherrys. Having to ride a bike up Wilson hill. As a kid I never payed attention to when, what year or years this happened. I grew up in Grandville and we had a town clock/temp on the Old Kent bank. It was very close to what the forcasts were. If you could remind me when that was if you could.
Thank you and have a wonderful day, night, weekend

I talked to my sister Thursday night – she lives in Snoqualmie, WA and it was 113 there during the day. I was in Sterling Alaska and we had a high temp of 61 and were slaying the sockeye salmon all day long. She was going to bed at 9:30 PM and it was still over 90.
Michigan is very pleasant today but we are still dreaming of the beatiful trip we had.
