New on DVD/in theaters this week (9/1)
A great Labor Day weekend ahead at West Michigan theaters to close out summer… and some good choices for rentals too. FYI: “Carriers” does not open in Grand Rapids market this week… its in just 100 theaters nationwide.
New at Theaters (Friday): “All About Steve”, “Gamer”, “Extract”
Limited Release in Grand Rapids market:
“The Answer Man” (at The Harbor Theater in Muskegon one week only 9/4 – 9/10),
“Weather Girl” (Celebration! North, for one week only 9/4 – 9/10),
“Adam” (Celebration! RiverTown),
“Departures” (at The Harbor Theater in Muskegon 9/4 – 9/10),
“Food, Inc.” (Celebration! Crossroads)
Moving to Woodland Mall this week ($4.00 shows): “The Hurt Locker”, “Ice Age: Dawn of Dinosaurs”

Best Bet(s): Of the two movies I’ve seen, “The Answer Man” is the better bet, it opens at Muskegon’s Harbor Theater Friday for a one week run (its also available on Comcast OnDemand). “Weather Girl” was good, not great, but does feature Michigan native Ryan Devlin as the main character’s brother.
As for the other four: “Extract” may be the best bet, as it comes from the creator of the cult-classic “Office Space”. The quirky romantic comedy “Adam” looks good – from the trailer. The Sandra Bullock/Bradley Cooper romantic comedy “All About Steve” looks pretty good – from the trailer. If you’re into just plain old action/sci-fi “Gamer” might be your choice.

New on DVD (Tuesday): “earth”, “Sin Nombre”, “State of Play”, “Sugar”

Best Bet(s): “Sin Nombre” got good reviews from national critics, “State of Play” was a pretty good drama/thriller, I wanted to see “earth” – so its first on my list, “Sugar” also received good reviews.

you have nice writing skills thanks to share your things with us.Trevor Morgan stars as a young man who dreams of becoming a painter, so he asks a famously reclusive artist to help him reach his goal. LOCAL COLOR features a strong cast, including Samantha Mathis, Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, and Charles Durning
