This is one of those weekends where most of the new offerings would be a good choice… BUT LET ME WARN YOU, from what I’ve heard while “Where The Wild Things Are” is based on a children’s book, the movie may be scary for young children.

Best Bet(s): “Paranormal Activity” plays at one theater this weekend and is on the verge of becoming a cult classic horror (about the movie) like 1999′s “Blair Witch Project” it will be expanding to more theaters next Friday… “Where The Wild Things Are” is a movie thats been in the works for years to perfect and is getting good reviews but this isn’t a movie for young kids as some kids at screenings have found the film scary… ”Law Abiding Citizen” is a good-looking thriller, “The Stepfather” is a remake of a 1987 horror/thriller, and “Opa!” is a romantic comedy.

New on DVD (Tuesday): “Adoration”, “American Violet”, “Drag Me To Hell”, “Land of the Lost”, “The Proposal”

Best Bet(s): One of the best romantic comedies of the year “The Proposal”… now may be the time to see “Land of the Lost”… and if you’re into horror: Sam Raimi’s “Drag Me To Hell”… and while I haven’t seen them either: “Adoration” and “American Violet” may be worth checking out.
