Local    Showers exit early Thursday morning.  There were a few thundershowers in Van Buren, Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph Counties with gusty winds.  There were a few small hail reports across the border in northern Indiana.  Rainfall totaled around 1/4″ in Oshtemo and Benton Harbor.  Most of the area saw a few hundredths to 1/10″ of rain.   We’ve had a three days with very low humidity.  I saw Ionia at 11% at mid-afternoon Monday.  That’s dry air!     We could see wind gusts over 30 mph Thursday midday and afternoon.  We’ll flirt with freezing Fri. AM, but Friday looks dry.  Most of the rain with the Friday night/Saturday system stays to our south.  It’ll be cool and dry Sunday and Monday with a chance of showers/t-showers again for the middle of next week.  Joe Bastardi tweets:  Tornado count this month of April 1/3 of last year, and 50-75% of normal.  @mchesterfield26 & @TWCjerdman have determined there were 242 tornado warnings in AL last April, compared to 0 so far this year.   Laurel Summit, Pa. wound up with 23.1″ of snow from this week’s storm!   Here’s links to the current conditions, regional radar, GRR radar, northern Indiana radar, and Chicago radar and Milwaukee radar. Here’s the local warning/advisory map and the National warning/watch/advisory map. Too bad that area of severe weather isn’t a little more to the north…. then we would be in the action. Oh well. At least we may end up getting a thundershower or two… better than nothing.

Gee I wonder if there will be some major runoff/flooding when this heavy wet snow melts in PA and NY? Hope they have the ditches cleaned out and the culverts unplugged or they will be in for some TROUBLE!
