The Snake

Shortly after the start of the 6 PM news on Monday, you’re TV might have gone black. Evidently, a snake had infiltrated a power supply at our transmitter and anyone getting the signal the old-fashioned way off the transmitter (with one of those $40 converter boxes) or by satellite saw our signal drop off. We had it back in a relatively short period of time, about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, it was during our 6 PM news. Monday was the 8th day this year with 100% sunshine. A snake? Thats funny. Its usually a squirrel that does that sort of thing.
I heard a rumor that fixxxers car was spotted at the corner of alpine and 3 mile about 5:59 pm. So I guess it may have BEEN a squirrel after all.

Yeah, that must be why lakefront lots go for $5000 to $10000 per foot of frontage.
It’s too bad you have to drive so far to get to the beach Fix. Perhaps you’ve seen from time to time the lakeshore is WARMER in the evening due to the offshore breeze. I’m sure your Grandma enjoys those nights, while you’re 10-15 degrees cooler inland, complaining about it here.

Not always fix, in the winter it’s warmer. Besides that only applies to the immediate shoreline. You know, the million dollar house people.
my wife’s grandma has a cottage out in muskegon off of lake michigan and i won’t even go there until we get the dog days of summer. even then it’s usually alot cooler than inland.
It must be horrible being jailed by weather….. Get out and enjoy life buddy!

We got the blame for the TV8 news going down just past 6 last nite. “Your engine is in the way of the beam!” We parked our loco outside the car-shop…as we usualy do for break time…and poof as we walk in the door there goes TV8! The managment has seen fit to place large screen TV’s tuned to weather, news and Leave It To Beaver…8-)
But we do our jobs too ya know!

The weather today is BEAUTIFUL! I hope you all get a chance to go outside and enjoy some of it! Funny about the snake, you’d think it would have been a squirrel or something else, not a snake.
Yuck, I do not like snakes! I could not pull in channel 8 (have a converter box) and thought it was my old box – so put it through several channel scans and I finally got 8 back. So that’s why! Did the snake get killed – or taken away to the DNR or tossed back in the grass?
I had the same problem with my cable. It was down for awhile. Wondered why Channel 8 was the only channel that wouldn’t work.
New logo for tv8 mabye ? Start off with a snake with ur opening for the news cast .. lol
