Local  Live radar image here with the usual links to follow.  Report on Saturday storms:  The Muskegon Airport reported a wind west at 35 mph with a gust to 49 mph around midnight.  Muskegon has had 1.07″ of rain – virtually nothing SE of G.R. yet.  A private weather station on Henry St. had a gust to 47 mph.  The Muskegon GLERL station on the beach hit 43 mph.  S. Haven beach also 37 mph.  Gusts to 50 mph just afer midnight at Milwaukee and 47 mph with 1/4″ hail at Racine.   Time of day not the best for storms as we are in the 70s now instead of low 90s.   Check the radar links below.  Here’s local storm reports from W. Michigan, Northern Indiana and the Michigan counties that border Indiana, Northeast Illinois (wow!   5.06″ of rain at Bradley, south of Chicago and still raining hard!  4.74″ at Bourbonnais IL and golf-ball sized hail at Crown Point, Indiana), and Central Illinois.  Look at Storm Total Rainfall from Chicago (Romeoville radar) showing 8″ of rain in Kankakee Co. (probably some hail contamination, so that may be a little high).   Also,  gust to 49 mph at Holland St. Park.  Gusts to at least 45 mph at my house (SE Alpine Twp.) with small branches down and an ornamental windmill blown over next door.  A few trees down in Comstock Park.    Small hail at New Buffalo – Berrien Co./SW corner of the state.   Heavy rain at my house…thought for awhile it was going more sideways than coming down.  Gust to 44 mph at Lake Michigan and Collindale on the west side of G.R. and 40 mph at the Muskegon beach.  1.03″ Greenville.  Individual storm cells moving NE while the line moves slowly east.   Record high temperature of 92 in Muskegon on Saturday.  118 in Death Valley CA.     The t-storm outlook from SPC includes parts of S. Lower Michigan.   Check out these links: to the current conditions, regional radar, GRR radar, northern Indiana radar, and Chicago radar and Milwaukee radar. Here’s the local warning/advisory map and the National warning/watch/advisory map. You can checkout the latest Grand Rapids NWS discussion, the Northern Indiana NWS discussion (includes the Michigan Counties that border Indiana), the discussion for Northern Lower Michigan, and Eastern Lower Michigan. Here’s closings, the Spyglass Condos Weather Station the S. Haven GLERL station, the Muskegon GLERL station, the Grand Haven Steelheaders webcam and weather station, and the weather station at Holland St. Park. Check out the WOOD lightning tracker and U.S. lightning and links to webcams. Here’s the infrared satellite loop and the visible loop (daytime).

Also, here’s the latest on Carlotta which was a Category 1 hurricane as it hit the SW Mexican coast.   The storm has toppled trees and produced heavy rainfall and significant flooding.
