WOOD-TV is getting some awesome evening ratings this weekend. Saturday night we had Notre Dame and Michigan. They kept it close into the 4th quarter (Notre Dame is now 4-0). Brian Kelly’s been a successful coach wherever he’s gone (GVSU, CMU, Cincinnati and now Notre Dame. Sunday night on WOOD, TV-8 is the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. Sunday Night football has had awesome ratings so far this year and this should be a good match-up. Both teams are 1-1. The Lions lost, but what a finish! The Lions got 2 touchdowns in the last 18 seconds to tie the game. The Bears beat the Rams. The 49ers were upset. BIG and very exciting last-minute win for CMU over Iowa – one of the best games of the weekend. WMU topped Connecticut and the Spartans took care of Eastern Mich. Grand Valley won a shootout with Ohio Dominican 46-41. Ferris St. topped Walsh (a school in Ohio, they have shuffled a couple teams in and out of the GLIAC) 20-14. Hope fell to Illinois Wesleyan 20-14. Kalamazoo College came up short at Centre College in Danville KY 35-23.
The Tigers lost a double-header on Sunday. The White Sox also lost, so the Tigers are one back.
