Any word on the closer? or your thoughts?

He’s no good, no good. The rest of the team carried him all the way to the end and he blew it.Get rid of him after the season.

Valverde is a free agent at the end of this season.

    2. Rocky (Rockford) says:

The Tigers are in trouble for two main reasons. Very inconsistent hitting and and a shaky bull pen. About the only way for them to win this game is if Verlander pitches a complete game and he Tigers score at least 3 or 4 runs.

On the Tigers, While its true that there is no question that Valverde
Blew the game last night and it should be noted that he has not pitched well on many occasions this year. The problem as I see it with the Tigers is Jim Leyland so while Valverde was getting hit hard there was NO one in the bullpen. Lets just hope JV pitches well tonight and the Tigers can get their hitting hats on and score a lot of runs. Other wise the season will be over tonight (for the Tigers)

    Cue: Bob Dylan…..Blowin In The WIND….. :-)

My take, Verlander needs to go the distance. The Tiger hitters need to put men on base. They need to also put at least 5 runs on the board. Otherwise, this up and down season is all over.

  5. Tim (Spring Lake) says:

I think if Verlander goes the distance, then 3 or 4 runs should do it.
I’m curious how the weather will turn out Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor. I have tix to catch the game, but it sounds like I could get some VERY interesting weather to endure. Wonder we’ll get a mist, driving rain, or storms? I know it’s supposed to be windy so I doubt we could use canopy for tailgating.
