Dense Fog Advisory for the entire area
Look for areas of dense fog this early morning. We have a Dense Fog Advisory for the entire area. Winds will be nearly calm until around daybreak. The fog will persist until around sunrise, when the wind will start to come up and the fog will gradually thin out. One more unseasonably warm day for today with temperatures into the low 60s. Showers are possible Monday PM and very likely Monday night. There’s an outside chance of a thundershower. Cooler temperatures will follow for Tuesday and especially for Wednesday. Temperatures will still be a little warmer than average from Tues. to Sat. Also: GFS model says cold with a chance of snow after Dec. 10th.
Hey Bill, If the new woodtv app for iOS isn’t taken offline and completely overhauled within the next few days, then I will be looking for an alternative app to obtain some of my local news and weather.
I’d appreciate it if you would please send your comments/concerns to out IT Dept: dave.dejonge@woodtv.com We’ll certainly take your comments under consideration.
It’s different, but I haven’t had any issues, or complaints so far.
Wow, you’re a peach! /s

What does the GR discussion say?
Ka-blammo! There it is. 8:54 issuance time.
Right on!
Just got an alert that Newaygo County is under it until 11 tomorrow.
Had to go to town in Holland to get some Mcd’s made it down the road 1 mile and turned around to go back home to the Lakeshore…. it is terrible out here!!! Don’t know if hubby will make it to work?!
Yep just got an alert text message saying dense fog advisory until 11 am tomorrow morning! Visibility is quickly dropping here now
seeing visibility drop here on Holland’s lakeshore! Worse that a blinding snowstorm out here.
Definitely thick here. Think I will set the alarm clock for an earlier time for tomorrow’s wake-up!
Looks like it is going to struggle to make 60 tomorrow with the fog and drizzle. We will see if it burns off and temps jump.
I agree, and it’s quite chilly out right now as well.
What? I was just out in a tshirt
Atta girl Katie….we’ll have NO , as in ’0′ problem making 60 today!…time to work on my ode/ limmerick to John Dee’s melting snowpack–should be M.I.A gone by midnight; thus allowing me to keep $100 bill and skip road trip to Keweenaw!
WOOW It SURE isssss FROGY OUT TONIGHT..Look Here : http://www.worldweatherpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/frogs.jpg
Fog seems to be the extent of weather events we have gotten the past three years. It seems like all the storms go north of GR. I remember we had that wind storm a few Septembers ago and a snow storm a few winters ago.
So whats going on? Why don’t we get any storms in Spring/summer/winter anymore?
Tis foggy tonight. Was pretty bad on 28th & kalamazoo ave.

OK, this is NOT a weather related question…but I did not see reported anywhere on WOOD about the Arab man arrested for a bombing in Casa Grande, Arizona. Is Wood also a state controlled media site? Seems like that would be news we would want to know about. Here is a place to check it out… “Homeland Security News

We flew home that night, we were told we might have to divert to Detroit until the next day, but there was a small window of opportunity to land and our pilot went for it. Another plane came right behind us and also managed to land. We looked at the flight board and seen just how lucky we were. There were multiple flights that were highlighted in red that said cancelled. There were 2 more flights scheduled to land after us but the fog came back and they had to divert to Detroit.
he probably wont this year, and I don’t blame him one bit after what happened last winter.
I dont blame him either.
He did get pretty lambasted, I don’t blame him at all either.
Here’s what I gave to the G.R. Press: http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2012/12/a_winter_dumping_or_a_dusting.html I said 67″ for Grand Rapids for the winter and we’re at 65.3″ so far.
