It was Dec. 2001 - We had 51.7" of snow in the last 9 days of December. It just kept on coming. I remember we got up to 18" on the ground here at WOOD and it would have been a lot more if it had not been real fluffy and quickly compacted. From the evening of Dec. 23rd thru Jan. 3rd, the warmest temperature was 28. Then we had less than 1/2" of snow in the first two weeks of January.

My family down in Dallas and Tarrant Counties (Texas) got more than a dusting this afternoon -- a welcome Christmas present for our two young grandsons! They built a couple little snowmen on the deck out back and then went sledding on a hill nearby. It'll be colder there tonight than here but their snow will probably be long gone by week's end AND it may be all they get this season.
