You call me more names, Big Daddy! Wow, I'm shocked. Why is it that you cannot answer the questions? Instead, you continually keep bringing up the same old, tired talking points! Is this because you have no specifics? Are you ashamed? If you are judging me then, I would consider this a compliment! Thanks, Big Daddy! It appears that when you are pinned down for specifics, you must resort to name calling.
I would challenge you to go back and read several of my last few posts. Simply, to gain a clearer understanding. You seem a bit misguided. Please, Big Daddy take note, here! This is not a personal attack.

Here's the drought of 1934: http://www.siskiyous.edu/shasta/env/drought/1934in.gif As you can see the drought stretched pretty much from Coast to Coast. Much of this area either had no agriculture, or nominal grazing.

The heat and drought of the 1930s was worldwide. That was verified by checking a couple of sets of tree rings in Siberia! LOL!

When you can't challenge the science, you're just left with calling people names. Anyone who disagrees with you is a "right-winger". Dr. Maue was not a "featured guest" on the Limbaugh Show...Limbaugh mentioned him once. I didn't hear the mention, so I can't tell you why Rush mentioned him.

If that "tens of thousands" have died from drought in N. America in the last five years comes from the Munich Re release...it's utter nonsense. They pulled that 30,000 figure out of a hat and it has NO basis in fact. Find me 100 people who have died from drought in the U.S. in the past 5 years.

Do you not read what I post??? Let me try again:

The Texas State Climatologist said: “There is no evidence that climate change contributed to the lack of rainfall, because rainfall has risen over the past century in the state.”

That's true over much of the country. Our rainfall has actually increased in G.R. and I think you'll find that the case over much of the Midwest with the change in land use. Multi-year droughts have occurred in the past (much of the 1930s) and will occur again.

Look at this graph from NCDC: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/temp-and-precip/time-series/index.php?parameter=pmdi&month=11&year=2012&filter=12&state=110&div=0 The droughts of the 30s and 50s were worse. You can see the graph is a poor match to the increase in CO2 (black line in the graph): http://blog.chron.com/climateabyss/files/2012/10/The_global_temperature_chart.jpg

What SPECIFIC "tax break" are you referring to. If you can't give me something specific, you confirm my suspicion that you have no idea what you are talking about. I want a SPECIFIC tax break for Exxon that would not be passed along at the pump to the lower and middle class (otherwise, you gain nothing more than hurting the poor and middle class). Just one SPECIFIC subsidy (which is what you said). ONE SPECIFIC SUBSIDY THAT WOULD NOT BE PASSED ALONG AT THE PUMP TO THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS...JUST ONE!

The Muskegon Heights School System was broke...millions of dollars in debt, despite getting over 15K per student and despite lower than average maintenance costs...and all you care about is confiscating more money from the middle class...you support green energy failures like LG Chem (four years and 151 million dollars later and not a single battery! - nice accountability) and Solyndra. Muskegon Heights ASKED for an Emergency Manager and now they are climbing out of their fiscal hole and the children are getting educated, no thanks to special interest shills like you.

Have you been arrested? Got any outstanding warrants, bigD? Running any illegal servers? I think people on the blog deserve to know.

Hansen has been called out by many reputable scientists. I have already quoted the State Climatologist of Texas.

His own NASA data shows global temperatures have held steady for 10 years: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.C.gif

I think we'll wait for a global temperature report that's not produced by a known right-wing blogger and featured guest on Rush Limbaugh. 2012 was the hottest year on record for the US. Taken alone that might be explainable as cyclical, but taken with what's happening world wide, it's just another piece of evidence that we're still heading in the wrong direction. Reefs are bleaching. Glaciers are melting. The Arctic melted back below record. Droughts have killed tens of thousands in the last five years. We're spending billions to bail out farmers right here in the US. ...And on and on. http://www.ipcc-wg2.gov/SREX/
