Just did my run through of my plow route and nothing really worth noting in Spring Lake area. Its just blowing around, did not see any drifts over 1″ so I just scraped it and came home. (large areas are bare pavement) Now the roads…they are TERRIBLE. first snow that came down melted and now has froze leaving a glare ice layer under what little snow we got out here. I was happy when I got farther away from the lake and the snow was sticking more, least there a bit more traction on the snow.

If this wind dies down a little more so the bands can set up and become heavier. But they didn’t even issue warnings last week when we had 2-3″ per hour snowfall rates Wednesday evening.

We got another 4 inches here in Escanaba today! Yesterday it got up to 40 with light rain all day. I had to work outside all day at work and it was gorgeous. Now it is down to 16 with very heavy winds up to 20 mph. The snow is over now but we got another 4 inches. Two days ago we had 5 inches. That puts Escanaba at least to 33 inches on the year! We had 41 inches all of last year.
