Freezing Drizzle

We had blog comments and a couple calls about freezing mist/drizzle overnight. With temperatures below freezing, the ice will linger and cause icy spots on the driveways, side streets, parking lots and sidewalks in the morning. The light snow yesterday also made some slick spots. There is also a chance of an isolated patch of fog. Remember, anytime you get in fog when the temperature is below freezing, you can get black ice (really clear ice) forming and roads can get very slippery. Drive carefully this morning.
It was drizzling within the last hour here. 27*
My windshield was glazed over about 10 minutes ago.
Bill, we are getting alittle freezing drizzle. MDOT has been by my house three or four times, in the last 45 min. Becareful everyone, cars are driving real slow by my house.

It is drizzling outside Bill, so it must be freezing on contact since the temp is below freezing… Btw, I like “Mt. Pleasent Triangle!”
I had ice on the shield of my helmet earlier this evening. It was a mix of freezing drizzle, sleet, and snow.
If only we could drizzel dazzel a job out of Fixxxer! The Michigan we be a better place! TACO BOY…..

There was a light freezing drizzle falling as I was driving a while ago from NW Grand Rapids to Alpine and 4 Mile Road. It was freezing a little on the windshield but the roads seemed OK. My car thermometer said 29 degrees. As I returned home it seemed to be stopping.
Pretty crappy winter so far. Im ready for it to be over!
The last couple weeks have been like heaven! COLD and plenty of SNOW! Keep in coming!

Just drove from the belt line area to zeeland. Drizzle was better as you got closer to zeeland. Slick a bit in GR.
Just drove Paw paw to Gobles….M40 had slick spots but salted more. The primary county roads…not so much! If it was pavement it was ice!

Battle Creek area
Had pretty heavy freezing drizzle between 7pm and 10pm. I had to scrape the ice off my shield every couple of miles on the snowmobile trail. Than luckily it changed over to snow around 10pm, and we’ve got a dusting of snow. There is minor drifting.
It has been a light to hard drizzle here in Kazoo. My car temp has said 30 degrees the entire night and it’s usually fairly accurate. I have been delivering pizza and the roads have some ice spots, but the sidewalks are very icy.
Bill, or anyone – when is that heavy snow supposed to start on Thursday? I have an early morning dentist appointment downtown near St. Mary’s Hospital (8:15 a.m.) So tired of this, soooooooooooo ready for spring and warm weather! I’d rather have it be 110 degrees than this snow and cold!
