Saturday Night Snow

1:32 AM – Four dead in a 3-car accident south of Hartford in Van Buren Co. Injuries in that accident, too. Snow showers have moved offshore of most of our area at this hour. The band comes onshore near S. Haven and moves inland thru Van Buren and Berrien Counties down into Indiana. Muskegon has picked up 2.6″ Saturday (season total for MKG up to 69.9″, now just 5″ behind average). Grand Rapids Ford Airport reported 0.2″. Other snow totals: 16″ 3 miles north of Hart (18″ on the ground), 12.3″ Hart, 11.5″ Shelby (15″ on the ground), 11″ Pentwater, 9″ near Holland (13″ on the ground), 5″ Paw Paw. I drove thru a heavy snow shower downtown around 2:35 this PM. Alba in Antrim Co. reports 4″ of new snow and 26″ on the ground. Honor in Benzie Co. has 8″ of new snow and 22″ on the ground.

That band that moved through Muskegon and Spring Lake DUMPED the snow. About five inches in a couple hours..on top of the 2 inches we got last night. Beautiful outside! Looks like there is some more on the way.

Spring can wait its winter just enjoy it. It gives me a break from farming 12 to 14 hours per day gets old with the heat of summer.
Sorry rob but most of us are ready for warmer weather, sun and “hopefully” a few severe tstorms. You guys had your winter. Now its our turn for fun.
Not true. There are lots of people on here who still want winter. It is only mid February. You may not see spring til late April….

Your right matt we “may” not but hopefully we see it next month. For us winter haters it has sucked this year. I just hope we dont have too cool of a spring & summer.

We have had ONE month of winter. sheesh I remember the years thinking (in May) that we just had 6-7 months with snow.
Anyone know when it is supposed to let up? Don’t really want to get snowed in at work!
If you don’t like four seasons the move to Florida or southern California.
Fix doesn’t like anything, and there is no place to move to fix that.
I love the four seasons. I just want Winter to be just two months.

Michigan Spring can start any time from March to June. It may not start here at all in March. I hope not! Spring is the worst season of the year in West Michigan.
