4.6 and 4.7 Magnitude Earthquake hit Southern California

earthquake  Click on the image to enlarge.  A 4.6 magnitude earthquake and a 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit early this afternoon 65 miles northeast of San Diego.  One of the quakes was a shallow quake. Preliminary readings show it less than one mile below the surface.  The time is 12:56 PM EDT, or 9:56 local time.  The quakes was felt 110 miles to the west in Los Angeles.   The first quake was near Anza, the second by Palm Springs.  There are some reports now of a third earthquake.  It’s only been 1/2 hour, but no injuries reported as of now.

    I’m glad we live where we may seldom only feel an aftershock and that’s about it. Earthquakes are scary.
