Full moon to the right of the Lincoln Memorial – pic. from NASA and Bill Ingalls. The clouds cleared out during the night and the bright, full “Worm Moon” was shining brightly in the late night hours. Here’s this week’s Sky at a Glance. Jupiter is visible in the west after sunset. Saturn is also visible much of the night, moving from the SE to the SW sky. The sun remains very “quiet” with few and small sunspots. Comet PanSTARRS is very faint and fading. Nice picture here. Here’s the comet over Lake Superior. Here’s a close-up of the Milky Way – how many stars (suns) are in this picture? Here’s a schedule of flyovers of the International Space Station.
