Lake Michigan Modis    Modis Lake Superior These are the Modis satellite pictures of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior from Saturday PM.  Click the pictures to enlarge or click here for the Lake Michigan picture or here for the Lake Superior picture.  You can see the cumulus deck over the land, but not over the water of Lake Michigan.  Where it’s colder, there’s a band of lake-effect stratocumulus clouds coming off the SE end of Lake Superior.  There is still some ice in Green Bay.  Note that the inland lakes are still frozen in the U.P. and across Canada.  There is also a significant snow cover.  Anytime the wind comes off that snow and ice, it’s going to be cold.

    Hey Bill i watched you on the news today when you were near the river! Also make sure you take a look at the Ada flood videos i sent you. It was a total mess!
