Click the image to enlarge or click here. 3:35 PM Sunday – There’s a meso-discussion out now on the possibility of severe weather in SE Wisconsin, N. Illinois and western Lake Michigan. SPC says: “INITIATION ZONE ALONG THE OUTFLOW TO MOVE TOWARD/INTO LK MI OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS…THIS MAY MITIGATE NEED FOR A WW ACROSS ERN WI AS WELL.” So far, strong, but generally not severe storms have been moving across much of Illinois (see radar thread below) This is the hottest day of 2013 over much of Lower Michigan – 88 at 3 PM in G.R., 89 in Kalamazoo. It’s cooler near Lake Michigan with 80 at the Ludington Airport and 81 at the airports in Holland and S. Haven. The Muskegon Beach air temperature is 71.2 and the S. Haven beach temperature is 74.6. The mid-Lake Michigan buoy shows (at 3:35 PM) an air temp. of 62.2 and a water temp. of 55.2. With a due south wind coming down the length of Lake Michigan, Manistique is 60 degrees with fog and Escanaba (which will be “in da moonlight” tonight is just 64.
