Mostly Sunny Next Four Days

Lake Michigan - Saugatuck Channel Jack Martin Reportit July 2013   Beautiful picture of the Saugatuck Channel (Kalamazoo Rivera) from Jack Martin at ReportIt.  See it full screen.   The satellite loop shows clear to mostly clear skies over much of the state.   We’ll see mostly sunny and dry weather through the weekend.  It’ll be a fantastic day for Maranda’s Park Party Thursday from Noon – 2 PM in Muskegon.  Topical Storm Chantal is now just a tropical depression (easterly wave).  You can hardly find a circulation.    It will move up along the East Coast of Florida, bringing moderate to heavy rain, but no significant damage.  There are no tropical systems in the Eastern Pacific.  There are no tropical storms in the Southern Hemisphere as I write this.  In the Western Pacific, major Typhoon Soulik is heading toward northern Taiwan and mainland China.

The next 10-15 days look warmer than average for West Michigan and the Great Lakes area…dry to start in the middle of next week…but we’ll eventually get back into the periphery thunderstorm pattern.

Thank You Bill, Such a beautiful day out today. Was hoping for some rain here in Fennville last night but did not get any. At least this year is much better in comparison to last year with the rain!

Looks like a nice warm week coming up with lots of sun and highs in the upper 80’s …Oh wait it summer time so it should be nice and warm. Also it still looks very warm to hot on our trip next week. No question my wife and me will see several day well into the 90’s and may (hope not) maybe a day or so near 100° or more. As for the upcoming fall/winter I will be in denial until late September on even thinking of cold and snow. BTW how come so many blogers complain about the heat in the summer time but so few complain about the cold in the winter??? Nothing pleasant about being out side in either the very hot nor being out side in the very cold. But that is one of the reasons we live in houses that have air (for a lot of us) and heat (for most of us)
Enjoy this nice and sunny day.

My response to that would be: I can dress for the cold, and be comfortable. When it comes to the heat: You can only take off so much, before you are not comfortable anymore, and have to cool off in whatever way you choose. I hate the heat, but don’t mind the cold. I would give up both for a moderate climate of 70-80 year round.
