advisory Tuesday has been designated a Clean Air Action Day.   This is the first Clean Air Action Day of 2013.  The National Weather Service calls this an Air Quality Alert. You can see the counties affected (Allegan, Ottawa, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Mason and and Manistee Counties…also SE Michigan, NW Indiana and the Chicago area). Here are the recommended actions for the public today. These used to be Ozone Action Days.  This is a marginal situation, but the wind will be southwest coming from the Chicago area.  You can go to this site and see the current ozone level. Michigan has a Department of Air Quality. On Clean Air Action Days, you can ride the Macatawa Area Express (buses) for free on fixed routes in the Holland-Zeeland Area. and the RAPID in Grand Rapids).

This is not a knock on Bill, but the new WOOD TV 8 website is officially worse than WXMI or WZZM’s.

Clean air action day, hot temps, heat wave coming next week? But, but….. the Rocky troll said this would not happen. I was hoping he would be right for once. Not looking forward to working indoors with no air where we will be over 110 degrees again.
