Here’s the Tues. PM Modis Satellite picture of Lake Michigan. Click on the image or click here to enlarge. Note the cumulus clouds from SW Lower Michigan around to Chicago. They form from the edge of the lake breeze away from the lake, leaving the beach sunny. There were some dissipating clouds over Lake Michigan. There are cirrus clouds, a couple of jet contrails and my tornado “scar” visible near and northwest of Green Bay. The land looks green and in the first week of September, that’s a good thing. Here’s a MODIS picture of Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Also, a satellite view and a map of the RIM FIRE in California (now 75% contained), a satellite pic. of Typhoon Utor and the eruption of Mt. Sakurajima in Japan.
