Waterspout Lake Michigan Kenosha 9 12 13   Pic. of waterspouts on Lake Michigan near Kenosha.  They sounded the sirens in Kenosha for a brief time.  The funnel formed very close to the shore.  I was in Wilmette IL and saw this t-shower over the lake.  We then watched the same shower come onshore just northeast of Michigan City,  Indiana.   More pictures and video here from WTMJ.    I was standing right on that beach the evening before.  More pics. and videosAnother good videoVideo and pics. from the Milwaukee NWS facebook page.

The Kenosha Schools enacted its emergency weather procedures after the reports of a funnel cloud. Students and staff  in their 39 schools went to a place of safety, as practiced during their weather drills.  A spokesperson says the district was given the all clear by county emergency management and students went back to class after about 20 minutes.
