18 tornadoes were reported in far NE Nebraska and far NW Iowa Saturday PM. Fifteen injures were reported in the town of Wayne, Nebraska, where phone service was disrupted and a gas leak was reported at the damaged Van Diest Supply Co. A Hazmat team was dispatched to the scene. Multiple buildings were damaged including several farm homes. That tornado appears to be an EF4. Provident Medical Center in Wayne was in Code Yellow Disaster Mode. Nebraska Public Power reports that 3 major transmission lines have been knocked out by the twisters. Grand Island had a high of 81 on Friday, while farther west, the high in Scottsbluff was only 36 and it was snowing.
