watch   A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the area.  The Ford Airport in G.R. has already had near 2″ of rain in the last couple days.   As much as 2.5″ of rain has fallen in the past 48 hours in Ingham Co.   The heaviest rain Sunday may fall east of our area toward NW Ohio.

Just so everyone knows, my favorite time of year is fall, winter, and early spring because the weather is so active. I cant wait for some big rainstorms, snowstorms, and thunderstorms in the coming months… it will be great! Im already counting down to the first snowfall, just a few more weeks to go :) :) :) :) :)

We don’t usually get much in the way of big snowstorms here, it’s the constant lake effect that adds up over the winter.

        1. Mike (Shepherd, MI) says:

I guess it depends on what you consider a big snowstorm. I live away from the lake so I don’t see lake effect. We consider anything over a foot of snow a big snowstorm. I see that once or twice a winter.
