skywarn     The Kent-Ottawa Skywarn Meeting (severe weather training) will be Thursday, March 6 at Grandville High School (the new high school on Canal, just north of Rivertown Parkway (44th St.).  It’s in a bigger room (seats 545).  It’s free – you get great instruction and get to see a lot of cool weather pics. and videos.  Registration is requested.  You can register here.   They haven’t posted the complete county Skywarn schedule yet, but when it appears it’ll be here.   There is also online training here.

Yes…people bring their children to learn about severe weather. The NWS has an excellent program.

    1. Sandy (Hudsonville) says:

Well if you have lived there for years you ought to know where it is! Years ago it used to be called 44th then it became Rivertown Parkway.

I know exactly where everything is around here, and the high school is south of 44th! Maybe a typo I guess.

        1. Sandy (Hudsonville) says:

It is south – you are right.

  4. Lisa (Caledonia) says:
