Here’s radar and the Severe Weather Outlooks from the Storm Prediction Center. There is a Moderate Risk of severe storms and tornadoes across parts of Iowa and S. Minnesota. The Slight Risk comes to Lake Michigan. Lower Michigan is in the green General Thunderstorm Outlook. This is likely to be the warmest day since last Sept. 11, almost 8 months ago. This is the latest we’ve had to wait for the first 80-degree day since 1998. The lake-breeze will kick in – so it’ll be cooler at the shore. We’ve had 8 days in a row with below avg. temperatures. Here’s current Severe T-Storm and Tornado Watches, Storm Reports, Meso Discussions, Tornado Probabilities, Severe Wind Probabilities and Severe Hail Probabilities. 1″ diameter hail was reported in Alma during the late evening.
The European model has 3 dry days…today (Thu.), Sat. and the following Thurs. It gives highs starting today (Thu.) for G.R. as 82 – 72 – 65 – 71 – 81 – falling to mid 50s – 54 – 56 – 61. It also gives Grand Rapids a low temp. of 35 on Fri. the 16th. No snow for us, but the model does give the Marquette Airport nearly an inch of snow on Thurs. night/Fri. AM next week.
