Click on the images (MODIS satellite pictures from NOAA Coastwatch) to enlarge. You can STILL see ice on Lake Michigan (pics. from Sat. 5/10) on Lake Michigan SSE of Beaver Is. and a little ice in Lake Huron. There’s still about 25% ice on Lake Superior. You can also see snow on the ground yet in the Keewenaw Peninsula. There also appears to be a patch of snow in the Porcupine Mts. (western U.P.) and south of Grand Marais.
