Early Monday – 32 reported tornadoes Sunday…Lots of severe weather to our west and south in KS, NE, IA, IL, IN. Gust to 90 mph near Milford NE, 82 mph at Omaha…tornadoes, inc. a large wedge in Nebraska and tornadoes in KS. 20K were without power in the Omaha area. Tornado pics. from Seward NE. Fire department reported a tornado just west of Rensselaer, IN Tornado Watches from IA to N. Texas. Gust to 78 at Gary IN, 70 mph Chesterton IN, 61 mph at Michigan City IN, 68 mph Grayslake IL (NW of Chicago)…roof partially taken off a hotel in Joliet IL. Now this is heavy rain! We had showers and a few t-showers during the evening. We still have 3 Flood Advisories in effect. Chance of showers/t-storm tonight. As you can see, the Slight Risk Area for tomorrow includes much of Lower Michigan. There’s a Tornado Watch for SE Iowa and W. Illinois. Storms near Ottumwa have produced funnel clouds, large hail and over 2″ of rain. At this time yesterday, it was 68° in Denver. Today, it’s currently 33° with light snow falling. Here’s snow in Boulder. 13″ snow in Red Feather Lakes Co. Interstate 80 is closed west of Cheyenne WY. because of snow. 24″ new snow near Encampment WY, 18″ at Sand Lake WY and near Greeley CO, 16″ at Spirit Lake UT. Daughter #1 reports t-storm in Chicago.
