Dry for Thurs. and Fri. 6-hour rainfall amounts ending at 2 pm: 0.31′ Kalamazoo, 0.25″ Battle Creek, 0.24″ Holland, 0.21″ G.R. (airport), 0.15″ Lansing, 0.05″ Muskegon.
Tornado Warning for this storm coming into Bowling Green, Kentucky. Spotter reports a multi-vortex tornado touched down 5 miles NW of Providence, Kentucky. Large rain-wrapped tornado near Wheatcroft, Kentucky. Hail damage in Blair, Nebraska. Large, wedge tornado reported on the ground near Mortons Gap, Kentucky.
Also: Heat bursts occurring in NC Kansas. Russell was 85 F at 10 p.m. CDT, but rose to 92 at 10:35 pm. It went from 84 to 95 F in 1 hour at Salina, KS, with wind gusts to 43 mph.
