Wow, the “irrigation shredder” worked today in St. Joseph County as storms went to the north and the south, not a drop here–unless you were under a center-pivot! Suns out, cool temps have arrived, very comfortable compared to a few hours ago.

  2. Swatz_Zoo(Cedar Springs) says:

High and dry up here with 1 brief down pour and that was that

  3. Barb says:

Dark here up north but nothing since early afternoon.

  4. I got 0.10″ of rain here in Byron Center today. Needed more than that but it’s better than nothing

  5. Vincent(N.E.Kent CO) says:

Heard a couple more rumbles of thunder about 14 mins ago.

  6. Bryan says:

The Grand Rapids bubble was in full effect this afternoon! Here in the Standale area we received about 10 minutes of light rain and now the sun is shining bright and temps are back on the rise. Wild!

    1. Brian(Grandville) says:

Same here. I expected a lot more.

  7. Mike[Kalamazoo county] says:

Lucky day for me .50-.75 on most of my crops.

  8. Barb says:

Looks as though the non-rain event is over for GR. It’s back to watering this week.

  9. Holly says:

My friend’s skylight was knocked out by the hail. She lives a few miles west of the White Lake weather station and perhaps just a little bit south.

  10. Holly says:

The tornado sirens went off twice this afternoon in Holly Township, both times with NOTHING in the immediate vicinity (or anything heading in our direction less than an hour away according to radar). What’s up with that? I thought the sirens had been fixed a few years ago after they went off just a second or two before the tornado took the power out, a tornado that had first touched the ground several miles west of the township boundary (and whose storm had first shown a tornado signature on radar when it was by Charlotte).

  11. Anna says:

No rain at all here in grant and man it’s dry here. My garden needs rain

  12. Cliff(KZOO) says:

.2 tenths in Scotts, better than nothing I guess.

  13. Nathan (Forest Hills) says:

Huge dark massive cloud to my west. Keeping an eye on it

  14. Brad (Van Buren) says:

No rain here. Besides the overcast early this morning, it was sunny and dry all day. You would never know it stormed anywhere else :)

  15. Mark (East Lansing) says:

    What a gorgeous, colorful sunset.

  16. Jerry Hoag says:

All I got here was a few raindrops and that was it!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Grand Rapids bubble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a clap of Thunder to be heard or any lightning to be seen…Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Vincent(N.E.Kent CO) says:

Ended up with just over a 1/2 inch of rain here. Most all fell in 10 mins. No wind. Just pea size hail, thunder and lightning. Its funny the garage floor dried up from the rain, but 2 hrs later i still had water in the spots where the hail bounced into he garage and melted. Now the killer skeeters are out for me. Maybe winter is not that bad after all.

  18. If you didn’t get much rain today, there are chances for showers a storms next week. 40-50%. Best chance is Tuesday

  19. Breckenridge recorded a wind gust of 51 mph at 4:39pm Sunday afternoon

    1. oops correction 0.38 storm total

    2. Brian (Grandville) says:

Nice to here from you Mark. I forget you’re a farmer, and its summer. Long days I’m sure.
