Walberg-Schauer race remains tight, Segal wins 62nd House

The results now coming in for the Walberg-Schauer race (48-47 for Walberg with 36% in) show a still-tight contest.

Our exit poll gives state Sen. Mark Schauer (D-Bedford Township) a slight lead but given the large margin of error, the race remains too close to call.

The mood at Schauer’s camp in Emmett Township remains largely focused on national results.

Just moments ago 62nd district state House candidate Kate Segal announced her victory.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us,” Segal told supporters, saying she is looking forward to working to get Michigan on track.
