WMRPC: Business leaders set “job-growth” agenda

They’ve set an agenda they say will add jobs to West Michigan.

After the two-day West Michigan Regional Policy Conference, hundreds of business leaders from Grand Rapids to Traverse City and Kalamazoo voted to prioritize the issues they believe will grow the economy.

The business leaders set five priorities — to call the top two extraordinarily difficult to make reality would be an understatement. (more…)

Locally produced movie to screen this weekend at Celebration Cinema! North

“Keep A Baby” makes it to the big screen

Its a filmmakers delight… to see their hardwork on the big screen of a movie theater….

Keep A Baby posterThis Saturday evening, September 20th at Celebration Cinema! North, local movie project “Keep A Baby” written and directed by Mike Bartkowiak will be shown to the public for the first time.  Cast, crew, friends and family will be in attendance.

The movie was shot in Lansing.   Bartkowiak started working on the project a year-and-a-half ago.

“Keep A Baby” is about a widower whose infant son is taken by a kidnapping service, then he and his friends go (more…)
