In the best segue work ever seen on the big screen, Kevin James dials up his self-depricating humor to bring Paul Blart to life.
“Paul Blart: Mall Cop” is a clean, family comedy that all ages can enjoy… sure its not going to win awards or make adults laugh as much as other recent comedies with more adult themes, but with its PG rating, its an Action/Comedy that adults and older kids can enjoy.

Blart wants to be a New Jersey State Trooper, but his glycemia keeps him from being a real officer of the law. Blart takes his job as mall cop very serious, while the other security guards seem indifferent to their duties.
Once all the main characters are presented to us: its a simple premise… Blart wants to be taken seriously and get the girl in the end… so one night he tries to deal with a robbery and hostage crisis when criminals take over the mall.
Kevin Smith’s “Mallrats” (1995) is still my favorite mall movie… but that was rated “R”, so we’ll say this is my favorite PG mall movie.
